The Journey Continues

This week has been a great week in which I am starting to understand what I am learning more clearly. I am putting in a lot of effort into my assignments such as my Senior Project. Earlier in the week I job shadowed my grandmother’s pharmacist and it went great. During the interview that I had with her, I asked her a series of questions that would give me insight to what I needed and wanted to know about becoming a pharmacist. I learned a lot about what classes to take and the duration of those classes. She encouraged me by telling me that it wasn’t too hard to become one just as long as I study and put a lot of effort into becoming one. Without any effort there is no succeeding in life, a life that is filled with a high unemployment rate and competition in order to get those jobs that are scarce for some people. I also learned about the duties and responsibilities that she has on a daily basis at work. I learned from her that she doesn’t take any work from work to her house which is good because the less stress the better. The only stress that she faces at work is the customers who aren’t able to get a discount on their medicine due to their current health insurances. With hardly any stress and work that needs to be completed at home, I was convinced that this is a job that I want to pursue when I get out of high school and college. I want to complete my prerequisites at a 4 year college and from there get into pharmacy school where I will finish off my education and then earnestly look for a job as pharmacists are in high demand. I completed my job shadow and had it turned into my English teacher which gave me the space and time to complete other assignments that I needed to complete. In my AP Biology class I have to study for a big test that is coming up. I am planning on cramming all of that information in my mind so I will be able to take it on Tuesday. I am excited to utilize my knowledge that I have learned from taking this rigorous course to see if I have been study enough. In my Economics class I have to sell a homemade product and accumulate the costs of the material used to make the product and the profit that I would be receiving. My AP English class is going good as we just finished our first book as a class. It was a good book that was filled with mysteries that created imagery in our minds to what was going to happen to the protagonist. My AP World History class is running smoothly as I just finished a Level 4 PowerPoint presentation that I am about to present in a couple days when my teacher is ready for me to present. My Pre-Cal class is going great as I have learned a lot from that class about functions that I am learning how to graph. I will be studying for that class this weekend in order to taking a test on the third measurement topic. Guitar is going great as I have just learned a new song called Dust in the Wind that I had to test on and I passed. My last class psychology is going great as I am learning about dreams and how they work, why they happen and the different stages of sleep. It is really interesting and I am looking forward to what is to come in that class as well as the rest of the school year
