As I walk down that Dirt Road

_ The stress that my senior year has brought me haunts me no more, at least for now. I am doing great in my classes and I am taking my tests and receiving good scores on them. I am learning a lot from my classes, especially my AP classes in which I know I will utilize that knowledge when I take the AP exams in May. I know they will be hard as I have had experience with two AP classes last year. AP Biology is going great. I have been doing a lot of labs that will test the knowledge that I have been obtaining throughout the school year. I am learning a lot from my economics class about money. This class will definitely help me with my decisions that I make later on in life. AP English Literature is a fun class in which I am reading a book called “Bless me, Ultima.” I like reading it because it is a book that contains Mexican traditions and about the murders that are happening in the area. AP World History is an enjoyable class because I am learning a lot about the ancient civilizations that used to roam the earth but now are obliterated from the earth, never to be seen again. I have been getting great grades on my essays and my tests and it makes me feel confident about myself which I really needed especially with all the stress that I had at the beginning of the year. Trigonometry is a challenging class and I just took a test which I am confident that I passed. I know it’s going to be a hard year but I know that with hard work and dedication, I will pass that class and not only pass that class, pass it with a great grade and distill the knowledge into my mind without forgetting. Intermediate guitar is going by great. I am ahead of my teacher’s pace and I am just about ready to move on to the second semester work already. Hopefully and more than likely I will be done with that class with plenty of time to use that spare class time to work on other projects and assignments that will more than likely overwhelm me in a few weeks. Psychology is a fun class too in which I am learning a lot about the human brain and how it functions. I just took a test the other day and I know more than likely that I pass because I studied for it and finished the work that was assigned to me. We just had homecoming week this past week and it was fun! I was the escort of one of my friends that I have known since elementary school. Surprisingly I was nominated for the homecoming king. I was astonished! I went the week dressing up with my homecoming queen candidate and it was a fun week, one that I will not forget. Me nor my homecoming queen won the race but we sure had fun that week.
