The Rough Journey

As the homework keeps on piling up and overwhelming me, I decide to look past it all and make sure that I get it done. My classes are getting harder and the tests keep on piling up as well. I need to keep myself on track and keep my head in the game so that I won’t fall behind in any of my classes. It is a little difficult to keep my grades up while working a part time job but that is the reality of growing up and managing your time in order to the important things done first. My education here at Lindsay is far more important than a low paying job. I have to invest in my education because I will reap the benefits of a great paying job in the future as long as I work hard. CSU applications just opened on the first and I have sent in one college application to University of the Pacific in which I am looking forward to pursuing my career in the pharmacy field in which I study how medicine and how it helps the lives of the people who suffer from various illnesses and diseases. It had started to cool down a lot and the fall sports are coming up which I really want to join basketball but I am still contemplating on keeping my job because it would be very difficult in working, maintaining great grades and playing a sport. I couldn’t make time for all of those especially as my senior year has just begun. I just received my transcripts for college and I was ecstatic to know that my class rank improved from around 16 to 10. This is what happens when hard works pays off. I will continue to work hard and make it back to the top 5 class rank but it won’t be easy as there is a lot of students competing for that one spot. My friend just asked me to be her escort for homecoming and I am excited. Homecoming week starts the week after we come back from our 5 days of no school. I am excited to be on a 5 day break because it will give me time to catch up, get ahead, study and make sure that everything is intact in my classes so that when I go back to school, I won’t have to worry about anything. My homecoming candidate is Rebecca and we have been good friends since elementary school. I will have to escort her during the rally and will have to dress up and attend the lunch activities the whole week of homecoming. My senior year has been an exciting year and its barley the 2 month of school. Fall time has to probably be one my favorite times of the school year because of the football games and how it is beginning to cool off from all of the heat that has been scorching us the whole summer. I can’t wait!
